Cultivated by Colors is a documentation book I created in my Publication Design class. We were given the task of documenting something that interests us, write at least 10,000 words about it, and then create the entire book to go along with it. I decided to write my book on the relation between colors and emotions. I created a daily practice where I took a randomized color pallet and then spent my day capturing photographs of the colors. I completed research on color theory and then used my knowledge on the things I found. I then reached out to 20 of my friends and had them complete the same process I did. After collecting all of the information, photographs, and 17,000 words, I pieced it all together in an 8.5x8.5 inch hard-covered book.
